I'm trying to challenge myself to take different pictures than the nature pictures that I normally take..... so I decided to start with the 26 things challenge for april and may. This is a list of 26 subjects to take pictures of. Everybody has a different view of these subjects and the results can be really refreshing. It really stimulates your creativity. So here are the first two shots: #19 "public art" and #20 "shoes" The shoes hanging on the tree are there for the child abuse prevention month. Every pair of shoes represents one confirmed case of child abuse.
Thanks for looking!

Love that "Public Art" shot. Very interesting piece of art. And that second shot is very powerful...
I'm always amazed at stuff like this and what people were thinking. We've got really strange things here, at least yours really do look like art. I like that cracking egg of the first shot. Maybe symbolizing "new life?" hmmm....harnessing my inner artist here. *finger snaps*
I soooo need to start on the 26 things, thanks for the reminder. That second shot is really signifigant, sad though..
Love the shoes hanging out of the tree pic. I think I need to try the 26 things so I won't drive my 3 year old over the edge another day with a lens in his face, lol.
Very cool. I keep meaning to try the 26 things. I agree that that second shot is powerful.
The shoe photo is particularly striking, especially when you realize the symbolism of the shoes.
LOVE these! The "shoe tree" is so unique, and so sad. I would much rather see a tree without any shoes... What a strong visual, though. It really sticks.
Very cool! I love that first one and what the tree stands for! Great eye!
Oooo....26 things is such a good way to stir up ideas. I think I have to do it.
The shoes are inspiring...I love the shot of the shoes.
Cool shots! I need to get going in the 26 things!
OOH, these are great! The public art one reminds me of a cracked egg and I've never seen a shoe tree! Cool! ;)
These look great!
Nice shots. Cool idea with the tree just to bad there had to be so many hanging there.
I love that shoes shot though it makes me sad to see so many pairs hanging there. I hope it raises awareness, thanks for sharing.
Interesting. Nice captures.
