Since I don't have much time today, and my very uncooperative subject was really grumpy today. I decided to post some of my other pictures that I took yesterday. I'm not completely happy with them, but I'm still learning!
Still on the theme Hats.... this is my sweet cat Snoepie (Dutch for Candy!) who was not really willing to wear a hat for me.

My pets aren't to cooperative either.
A Dr. Seuss photo! Cat in the Hat! (or at least next to the hat. Kittie probably would have been really cranky if you put him IN the hat.) Anyway, nice, dreamy, photo.
My dogs are so not cooperative, I wanted to do some pics of them but it didn't work out. If you are like me everyone you have in the house (dogs and kids) run from me when I have my camera. It's hard to get good pics. Where are you in Texas? I'm located in Spring, just north of Houston on I45. Glad to see another Texas Pea.
They just look a little dark, but the focus looks good. Oh, and I think it's cute how the hat is sorta making a journey, I'm looking forward to seeing where it ends up tomorrow.

I don't think it's too grainy- I think maybe you could have upped the ISO a little as your shutter speed is so very long/slow.
This is a funny pic. My kitties would definately not have sat for this photo. Cheers to you for getting it!
I think your cat looks cute under the hat. Mine would never be this cooperative. Seeing you pictures reminds me that I should try to get more photos of our pets.
