Photo 01-04-2008

Today I'm not on theme, but took a photo that I wanted to take for so long now. On my way to work there's a little pier where I see pelicans every morning. I always tell my husband how beautiful a picture of this would be, I decided to take my camera this morning and take finally the picture. Thank you so much Twopeas, without this challenge I would not have done this!!!

Settings:

photo 1 F/4.5 exposure time: 1/125 sec ISO 320

photo 2 F/4.5 exposure time: 1/125 sec ISO 250

photo 3 F/3.5 exposure time: 1/125 sec ISO 160

This last picture I cropped to make it stand out more.

Thank you for looking!

I think you're rubbing in the warm weather... and that's not nice ;P
I agree, the second and third shots are right on. The gold reflection ,and the close up of the bird are great cpatures.
I like the bird you caught in flight in the first, but there are so many birds, my ADD brain can't pick where to focus :)

Fabulous! i think it's great that you got motivated to take these shots. My family live in Florida, so this brings lots of memories for me.

Oh, that sun looks good. I really like the way the pelican is an island of stillness amid the flurry of the gulls. Nice!

The last one is my favorite. Love the birds all sitting on their posts with the houses in the BG. Super cool shots!

These are neat! I love nature shots - not much to shoot here where I live.

Great job on those shots. You're making me so jealous. When I look out my window, I see snow, trees blowing in the wind and huge icicles hanging from the corner of the house! BRR. Your shots brought some warmth to me!
