F/3.5 Exposure time 1/30 sec ISO 400Today I went back to the pier that I photographed the third of this month (posted at Photo 01-04-2008). I stood there for 40 minutes before work. Again it was very cold for southern Texas.... but my oh my did I get rewarded. At one point there were 10 pelicans sitting on the pier. One of them flew to me and landed about 4 feet from me. The pelican stayed there as if to say "Post me, post me on your POTD Blog!!" Well he or she (I couldn't get so close to figure this out, LOL) got his/her wish!
I also posted a picture taken of the pier before the sunrise to show the difference in colors with the other pictures.
I have a lot more beautiful pictures... but those will have to wait until next time!

love the first and third one! that pelican is awesome--definitely looks like it wanted to be on your blog. and you accomodated it so well. the colors and comp in the third one are wonderful. really makes me want to visit.

Those pelicans look like they were purposely posing for you! LOVE the pier shot, very soothing!
The second picture keeps pulling my eye back to it. The colors and the silhohette (sp?) are compelling.
