We went today to the AIA sandcastle competition 2008. So it's all about men (and women) playing with sand! I haven't seen the results yet... so I don't know who won the golden bucket! But I can tell you it was a lot of fun to see so many grown ups digging in the sand!LOL

No picture taking for me today... I had to go to the car dealer because of a car problem.... so I 'm posting some pictures from earlier this month.

Some flowers and the last picture just makes me laugh.... you would never ever see this in the Netherlands!!! I guess it's necessary in Texas, but it makes me smile every time I look at it.

(unless I encounter one of those snakes!!)

A couple of flowers for this weeks theme and also a couple of young armadillos. Call me crazy but I really think these animals are so cute!! Must be my Dutch background.... before I came here I had never seen one and now I see them all the time!! These ones were as tiny as my new little kitten and super cute and not shy at all. They came really close (about a feet away) and posed for a picture!

This weeks theme is going to be a blast!! I have so many pictures of flowers and the amount keeps growing!!!

So here are a few of todays and yesterdays trip to the nature park. I also posted a picture of the baby alligator at the nature park and the buffalo with white egrets.

Happiness... I guess walking in nature represents this for me. I love to watch young birds like these young cardinals start to experience life.

The second picture is of a dragonfly. I really like the kind of glamour lights in the background (must be the sunshine peaking through the leaves!!)

The third one is of one of the many spiders and spiderwebs I encountered. I did get my exercize today by trying to avoid the webs. They were all over the place!! Beautiful!
