Couple more from our trip to the zoo.... we alked around for 4.5 hours and I took so many pictures. For some reason the pictures inside were better than the ones outside, surprise for me, because it's usually the other way around.

Houston Zoo offers free entrance on most holidays and the day after thanksgiving.... so what's a better (and much more fun!) way to get all the fat off than walking around the zoo for a day!! We were at the zoo 8:50am and there was already a line! After waiting for 15 minutes we were inside.

Of course I took a lot of pictures and here are a few of my favourites!!

Where's the frog?!?

I started taking pictures of one of these lizzards in the water before I discovered this on in the tree. I had to take this picture... love the composition and color of it!

And sometimes you press the button at the right moment.....

This leopard was so sweet, you would almost take it home as a pet.... almost!

Taking a hike in the nature park and there's only one picture I really like.... aarrrgh!

Taking pictures of this grasshopper was really hard because the grass was moving wildly in the wind... I'm really surprised I had one sharp picture at all.

We hadn't seen any pelicans since Ike, so this was really nice to see one flying near our appartment.

Sometimes people throw things away... that just look so cute and "kinda posed". When I saw this stuffed animal sitting over a radio at our trash I just had to take a picture!

Sometimes you take a picture and you think that it would work... but when you look at it on the computer you are like "not really". This is one of those shots. I hate the lamp in it... it's not crooked enough to be on purpose and not straight enough to make a nice composition. Ooooh well we can't choose the strength of our hurricane winds, can we (it's a left over of hurricane Ike)!

The second shot I really had to take, because there are only a few trees here in the south that change color.. so when i see one with red leaves..... I had to take the shot.

And the last one is a landscape that does work, no irritating lamps or anything in there, LOL!!

I love fall here in the south.... we don't have that many colors but I love the fog in the morning. It makes such a moody atmosphere. I love it! So here are a couple of foggy pictures!

A couple of pictures of a squirl... this one was just adorable and so hungry that it did not mind me taking pictures....

And the butterflies were all around us here... so I got a nice shot of this monarch butterfly.
