This poor fellow is blind on one eye, but was enjoying the sunshine in one of the trees (near the bird feeders!!).

Look what I saw this morning... It still amazes me to see a squirl in a palmtree.... for me those two don't go together. So I ran back in and take a picture. 
While I'm having my camera out I decide to take some pictures of the house finch nest. Some crazy people thought it would be nice to take the nest down to see if there were any eggs in and did not put it back in place. Poor mom finch could not get onto the nest. We got the nest back up and within 5 minutes mom was back on it. Hopefully those crazy people will stay away from it now!!

I't really discoverin gmy new lens... this is awesome. I can take pictures that I could not take before... this bird was way up in the tree and I could not even see what it was.... but I can take a picture of it!!

Couple more flying creatures from this weekend.... 
This last picture took a lot of patience. These flowers are at the entrance of the nature park and while I was taking pictures of the butterflies this hummingbird flies on and off. Everytime I want to take a picture it disappears again... so I decide to wait until it comes back, but.... standing at the entrance a lot of people come in and out and stay talking....arrrrrrgh it took forever to have no people there and the hummingbird at a decent angle. I'm not completely satisfied with the picture but I at least got one picture where I can recognize the hummingbird!!LOL

I had a job offer in college station... which meant we had to move towards this area. Since I haven't been there, I wanted to see first if it was an area that we wanted to move too. Well today we decided to drive there and boy was it a long drive.... but we saw some beautiful landscape on the way......
